Aperol Spritz “Mean Girls Day” Email (2023)

I wrote dozens of emails for Aperol, Wild Turkey, Campari, Espolón, Grand Marnier, Lallier, BCG Consulting and more in 2023.

Aperol was looking for a fun marketing play for “Mean Girls Day” (October 3rd). so I created an email packed with nods to the infamous millenial movie.

Times Square is a unique place to advertise, to say the least. We created a quick, quippy ad to communicate the lightness and ease of Samsung’s Jet Stick Vacuum.

Nike | Global Brand Copywriter

In 2017 I became an “Ekin” (read that backwards) out in Beaverton, OR on the Nike campus. As part of a small but mighty Global Brand Copywriting team, we worked with our respective product lines to take complicated design-speak about products and distill it into internal/external assets for Nike.com.

I started as the Young Athletes writer, then moved to NikeLab (their streetwear brand), but I also filled in sometimes for Running and NBA. I wrote hundreds of product, collection, and technology descriptions, plus made 15+ videos.

Each season, we would sit down on-camera with the designers (1:1) and conduct interviews about their star products - what makes them special blahdy blah, then write scripts. After the scripts were solid, we’d go on production sets and give creative direction for the types of shots needed.
